Glass packaging producer Ardagh Group has collaborated with Design Bridge, London to complete a re-design of the Jameson triple distilled Irish Whiskey bottle.
The new design was extended across the range which consists of 1.75, 75cl, 70cl, 50cl, 375ml, 350ml, 200ml bottles and 200ml flask sizes.
As part of the redesign, the basic parameters of size and shape have been retained although the new bottle was revamped with many new features to highlight the appearance and graphics.
The neck ‘smile’ feature has been refined for visibility and multiple trials were carried out by Ardagh to ensure the correct definition of the recess at the bottom of the front label panel that echoes the label shape.
At the bottom of the shaped recess, embossing was added and was subtly tweaked to ensure it would not contact between bottles.
The emboss was refined to allow some inspection scanning and also incorporate elements of branding. The Flask bottle within the range was also redesigned to include the new label echo detail and embossing on front panel and base.
