Glass container manufacturer Ardagh has collaborated with the Absolut Company to develop the redesigned Malibu bottle by adding more of a contemporary, modern feel.
The product development team of Ardagh used new design technologies to cut down the blow production weights of 450g for the 70cl version and 455g for the 75cl.
As part of the redesign, all the design features of the bottle have been retained.
Around the bottom of the bottle, a new clear window is provided which highlights the fresh, clear spirit and increases shelf-appeal.
The clean and modern logo is said to evoke the free and easy spirit of the brand.
Malibu global brand director Katarina Nielsen said, "MALIBU is the coconut and rum based spirit with a vibrant Caribbean mindset – and our iconic white bottle is well-known worldwide. But even something great can evolve. And that’s just what we’ve done with the new design."
