Anheuser-Busch has announced the launch of its Bud Light Platinum in a new 11.5oz reclosable aluminum bottle in Las Vegas, US.
Bud Light vice president Rob McCarthy said, "Platinum has been able to elevate the premium light beer category with its blend of image and flavor, and we believe it will do the same to for the perception of aluminum bottles."
Featuring a twist-off cap, the new aluminum bottle design provides for a tool-less opening.
Claimed to be more than 50% stronger compared to a standard aluminum can, the bottle helps the beer get colder faster.
The Bud Light Platinum reclosable bottle, which will also be available at Las Vegas retail stores in 10-packs, is offered in 12oz glass bottles, 22oz single-serve bottles and the 12oz sleek can too.
Across the US, the aluminum bottle will launch later in 2013.
