India-based dairy products producer Amul has partnered with brand strategy and design firm DY Works to revamp the design and packaging of Amul Kool Lassi.
Under the partnership, Amul wishes to swap the traditional design with a new PET bottle design.
With the new design, the dairy firm aims to put lassi in the modern, contemporary space with the unique selling proposition of health.
DY Works president Alpana Parida said there was a need to design packaging that was up to date with current trends and also the one that capitalized on gaining familiarity as a healthy beverage.
"The brief was very interesting, and based on our preliminary research, we realised that most of the companies in the peer group, whether it was colas or mineral water, had already moved to PET bottles," Parida added.
