UK-based mail equipment supplier AMS is set to launch its desktop digital color label printer, M1C Labelmaxer for the packaging sector.
The new label printer has the capability to handle print widths of 50-222mm and substrates as thick as 0.33m down to 0.13mm, and can run at 1,600 x 1,600dpi at 150mm/second or at speeds of 300mm/second at 1,600 x 800dpi.
AMS marketing manager Victoria Christen said users need not have to make up plates and can print on-demand exactly as needed, printweek.com reported.
"This means they do not need to hold stock which makes it cheaper for them and cheaper for their clients," Christen said.
The company’s mailing collection features products including the ATS-12 tabber and AMS 3500.
