UK-based Actavis has announced plans to invest €13mn to construct a new warehouse in Malta.
In 2012, Actavis has increased its packaging capacity further by employing another 20 employees to all of its ten packaging lines.
Actavis managing director Patrick Cachia said the new warehouse will provide the required platform and infrastructure to the manufacturing site for future growth.
"This is strategically important for the Actavis Group since it is one of the main key launch sites for new products. The new warehouse will have a built up area of around 5000sq metres and maximum capacity of 7500 pallet locations," Cachia said.
According to the company, the investment is being made with the support of Malta Enterprise and the Ministry of the Finance, Economy and Investment.
