US-based medical device company Zavation has introduced new ZVPlasty Vertebral Augmentation System to treat spinal fractures.

The system has been developed for use in vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedures to treat vertebral compression fractures in the lumbar or thoracic regions, which are induced by primary or secondary osteoporosis, cancer or trauma.

ZVplasty system comprises streamlined set of manual instruments, which allows physicians in accessing vertebral body, and helps to prepare a site for a vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedure.

Zavation sales and marketing director Dee Hillhouse said the high quality and user friendly systems are very important in the medical field, and ZVPlasty offers both.

"Our customers are impressed with the quality of our instrumentation and surgical staff members have complimented our all-in-one packaging and system customization has cut down on surgical time and confusion. ZVPlasty is a cost effective, quality system that caters to our customers’ needs," Hillhouse added.
