University Hospital selects RaySearch RayStation

The New York- based University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell has ordered RaySearch Laboratories' clinical treatment planning system, RayStation, for advanced research.

RayStation is built on software architecture and has a graphical user interface and features a multi-criteria optimization (MCO) tools with support for 4D adaptive radiation therapy.

The hospital staff will apply the treatment planning system to improve workflows in their multi-criteria optimization IMRT, 4D image registration and dose accumulation.

The University Hospital Radiation department Oncology Technology Development and Systems Integration director Hansen Chen said they look forward to work with the developers in Stockholm to assess the use of these technologies and how they can help them reach their advanced research goals.

RaySearch Americas president Marc Mlyn said its expertise in image processing, optimization and usability analysis provides an opportunity for their collaborators to move their projects from investigation into clinical use.
