Tecan, a provider of laboratory instruments and solutions for biopharmaceuticals, forensics and clinical diagnostics, has appointed Martin Brusdeilins as chief scientific officer (CSO) and a member of the group management board.
Martin Brusdeilins worked as a vice president from 2003 until the end of May 2011 at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, an enterprise of the Johnson & Johnson company.
There he was responsible for product development of all diagnostic instruments and reagents as well as the life cycle management of these products.
Brusdeilins worked for management and professional positions from1998 to 2001 at Roche Diagnostics in Europe and the US where he was responsible for the entire product development of near patient diagnostic tests and test instruments.
Brusdeilins as vice president and general manager was responsible for production, research & development, marketing and quality assurance, and clinical studies in a business unit of Roche Diagnostics in the US.
Tecan as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) developes and manufactures OEM instruments and components that are then distributed by partner companies.
