Signostics receives funds for next-generation handheld ultrasound device

Signostics has received a $1.96m grant from the Australian Government to develop and market its next-generation handheld ultrasound device.

Signostics will use the funding to further develop its pocket-sized ‘Signos.’

The company claims, Signos has been designed to streamline health services and extend the range of care offered by physicians to help put patients at ease via accurate on-the-spot ultrasound procedures.

Signostics CEO Neil Bartlett said the initial response they had from medical practitioners in Australia and overseas for their handheld ultrasound products has been excellent and this funding will help them create new opportunities in the global $5bn ultrasound market.
