SAIC-Frederick partners RemedyMD to support cancer research

SAIC-Frederick, a contractor for National Cancer Institute's (NCI) research and development center, has entered into an agreement with RemedyMD.

The agreement allows NCI researchers to use RemedyMD’s Investigate Integrated Research Management System software to enhance research management systems in support of cancer research.

Investigate software is built on RemedyMD’s Mosaic platform which integrates a next-generation laboratory information management system (LIMS) and electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) software designed to enable life sciences researchers to collect, aggregate, harmonize and analyze data.

The collaboration allows to improve laboratory workflows, biospecimen management approaches, instrument integration, data visualization, and a research project review and approval system in the nine laboratories of the NCI Advanced Technology Program and in NCI’s Patient Characterization Center.

SAIC-Frederick Business Development director Bruce Crise said they believe that their cooperative efforts to improve these technologies will lead to new approaches and important insights into genomic, proteomic and imaging studies.

RemedyMD founder and CEO Gary Kennedy said they look forward to advance the acceptance of Integrated Research Management Systems in the marketplace as their value in identifying and treating complex disease becomes more evident.
