Roche has introduced new Accu-Chek Guide blood glucose monitoring system, enabling users to manage diabetes effectively.
The system has initially been launched in the Denmark, Switzerland and Australia. The company is planning to introduce the new product in more countries in early 2017.
The Accu-Chek Guide system allows on-board pattern detection, which enables to increase awareness of too high or too low glucose readings.
Through a mobile app, Bluetooth Low Energy can be connected to the Accu-Chek Connect diabetes management solution, helping in secure online data exchange and automatic data logging.
Diabetes patients, caregivers and healthcare providers can share diabetes information from anywhere for timely advice and remote monitoring.
The system features spill-resistant SmartPack test strip vial, which helps users to remove just one strip at a time and avoid spillage or contamination.
Roche Diagnostics CEO Roland Diggelmann said: “As the global leader in diabetes management we are dedicated to supporting people with diabetes, in thinking less about their daily therapy routines.
“We are very excited to introduce this innovative system, that simplifies blood glucose monitoring and improves the testing experience.”
