NeuroScience Reports Availability Of NEI Testing Protocol

NeuroScience, a provider of Neuro-Endo-Immune solutions, has reported the availability of its Neuro-Endo-Immune (NEI) Testing Protocol. This protocol is designed to assist healthcare practitioners in identifying the potential root causes of clinical complaints, while treating patients to achieve symptom relief.

The company said that the protocol provides a simple, three-step testing algorithm that can be customized based upon a patient’s symptoms and history. Step one provides a screen for an active immune response with three chemokines (chemoattractant cytokines), while assessing patients’ neurotransmitter and hormone levels.

Based on the results, the healthcare practitioner learns if the patient has an elevated immune response and decides if further testing is warranted. Step two is suggested for those patients with an elevated immune response and probable inflammation.

The test utilises stimulated cytokine analysis to provide results that offer guidance and direction in identifying the probable root causes of the inflammation. Step three in the NEI Testing Protocol includes tests to identify the probable root causes of a patient’s elevated immune response. For optimal health, it is imperative that the underlying root causes be identified and addressed.

Historically, neurology, endocrinology, and immunology were considered three different disciplines. However, current research suggests they are actually part of one integrated NEI Supersystem, linked by their respective biochemical messengers like neurotransmitters, hormones, and cytokines. Optimal functioning requires these NEI messengers to be in balance, said the company.
