The procedure is enabled by a new single-use disposable debridement probe with increased ultrasonic amplitude that allows surgeons using the SonicOne device to potentially reduce the operating room time necessary to complete a procedure by up to 50 percent.
Dr. Peter Blume, Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in the Department of Orthopedics, Section of Podiatric Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, considers the launch of the new SonicOne procedure as an important advancement in the technology.
