Toshiba America Medical and Merge Healthcare expand partnership

Toshiba America Medical Systems and Merge Healthcare have partnered to offer new solutions for cardiology and hemodynamic.

Under the partnership, Merge’s cardiology PACS and hemodynamic monitoring solutions will be integrated with the Toshiba portfolio of vascular x-ray systems.

Toshiba will use Merge’s Best in KLAS Merge Hemo real-time documentation tool and Merge Cardio system.

Merge Healthcare said KLAS Merge Hemo is used for the cardiac cath lab that allows the integration of cath lab documentation into the patient’s electronic health record.

Merge Cardio web-enabled enterprise-level image and information system offers a single point of entry to the patient’s complete cardio record with all cardiac modalities.

Toshiba America Medical Systems marketing vice-president Satrajit Misra said: "Through this partnership, our customers will get a complete solution for accessing imaging information faster to improve the patient experience and our customers’ overall business."

Merge Healthcare chief executive officer Justin Dearborn said: "For more than 15 years, the Toshiba Corporation has been a great partner with Merge and we are pleased to expand our partnership with Toshiba America Medical Systems to support their enterprise imaging initiative for a unified, interoperable cardiology management system."
