Malin buys stake in medical app maker for $16.4m

Irish global life sciences company Malin has acquired 38% stake in 3D4Medical for $16.4m.

Ireland based 3D4Medical is a medical app maker and most of its apps are targeted towards healthcare professionals as well as student and patient education.

The company has made medical app that are designed to present a unique learning experiences through intuitive interactivity and visualizations, and with the help of 3D technology the company is being able to showcase human body.

Few of 3D4Medical’s apps are developed in collaboration with Stanford University School of Medicine.

Malin CEO Adrian Howd said: "3D4Medical offers Malin a unique asset at the intersection of the technology and healthcare sectors.
