Leeds Teaching Hospitals selects SRC clinical dictation technology

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has selected SRC as its chosen partner to deliver integrated clinical dictation technology.

SRC said its solution will transform the Trust’s clinical document creation, production and distribution processes, with targeted savings of 10,000 hours per year.

SRC’s solution is powered by the Epro clinical toolkit which integrates Winscribe digital dictation and Dragon speech recognition with advanced workflow and templates.

The SRC solution leverages the flexibility of the Epro clinical toolkit to bind together digital dictation, speech recognition and provide users with access to patient data, consolidated from the hospital’s existing medical systems.

Among other benefits, SRC’s Epro integration automatically transfers patient and clinic context, which is vitally important both for patient safety and productivity.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust director of Informatics Alison Dailly said they selected SRC because they offered a solution which addresses their current requirements and provides options to meet future challenges around the creation and sharing of clinical documentation.

Epro developer Bluewire Technologies CEO Adam Towler said Leeds Teaching Hospitals recognized the value of Epro to combine data and functionality from different systems, further extending the range of benefits offered by traditional digital dictation.
