Impulse Monitoring takes over GLIM assets

Impulse Monitoring (IMI), a provider of intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) services to hospitals, has acquired the assets of Great Lakes Intraoperative Monitoring (GLIM), a subsidiary of Archer Medical Diagnostic Testing, to expand its market share in western New York State.

The IONM facilitates the surgical process, reduces surgical risk and provide alerts to surgeons of potential harm to the spinal cord or neural structures.

IMI president and CEO Gene Cattarina said with the acquisition with Great Lakes, they have established a significant presence to develop in the western New York region.

Archer CEO Ron Broome said they are pleased to know that their IOM business will be further enhanced by Impulse and will allow Archer to focus on its other verticals including, video ambulatory EEG and ICU monitoring.
