Impulse Monitoring (IMI) has entered into an agreement with the 371-bed George Washington University Hospital to offer intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) services.
The agreement involves real-time professional monitoring by experienced physicians.
IONM assesses neurological function of the brain, spinal cord and related nerve structures during surgeries.
IONM aids surgeons during the surgical process and reduces surgical risk by providing alerts of potential harm to the spinal cord or neural structures.
IMI also provides autotransfusion (AT) services which captures and cleanses patient’s own blood before and during surgery making it available for transfusion instead of utilizing donated blood.
