EarlySense will showcase its clinically-proven technology at the 2016 LeadingAge Annual Meeting & EXPO, taking place from 30 October to 2 November, in Indianapolis.
EarlySense's product portfolio covers the continuum of care, providing the ability to monitor residents in a variety of post-acute care settings.
The company will demonstrate its newly launched InSight solution, designed to help institutions such as skilled nursing facilities and rehab centers monitor their residents and empower clinicians to reduce hospital readmissions and resident falls.
In addition, EarlySense will introduce an at-home non-medical monitoring solution that can be used by residents and their families for self-tracking to help manage lifestyle, as well as general health and wellness. This solution may be used by individuals, or for independent or other senior living environments.
"EarlySense has spent the past several years clinically and economically validating our core technology in acute care settings. We are proud to have monitored hundreds of thousands of patients at dozens of customer sites, with documented improved clinical and financial outcomes for healthcare systems and patients," said Avner Halperin, CEO of EarlySense.
"Our cost-optimized solution has assisted facilities, including Partners Healthcare and the VA Medical System, provide the highest level of proactive care. Our non-medical, at-home solutions will extend the accessibility of home health information, allowing respectful and safe aging while providing families with peace of mind."
The InSight solution provides real-time information and alerts to a central nursing station, tablets and mobile devices, so staff can respond quickly and intervene earlier, reducing risk of re-hospitalization and falls.
EarlySense provides contact-free, continuous monitoring solutions for the medical and consumer digital health markets. EarlySense's patented sensor and advanced algorithms monitor and analyze cardiac, respiratory, sleep and motion parameters.
Used in hospitals and healthcare facilities worldwide, EarlySense assists clinicians in early detection of patient deterioration, helping to prevent adverse events, including code blues, preventable ICU transfers, patient falls and pressure ulcers.
