CoActiv, a digital image management company, has entered into a partnership with XRI, the medical equipment sales and service organisation, for the distribution of the complete CoActiv product line, including the Exam-PACS family of web-based PACS solutions for every imaging modality and medical specialty, its three Exam-RIS offerings and its vendor-neutral, Exam-Vault Quad-Redundant Archiving services.
Under the terms of new agreement, XRI will be responsible for sales, service and support for CoActiv products throughout the New England region, complementing CoActiv’s own in-house sales force. The new agreement is part of CoActiv’s expansion plans, following the year 2009 with sales more than double that of the previous year.
XRI’s existing regional customer base includes hospitals, radiology centers, orthopedic facilities, cardiology departments, urgent care centers, chiropractic offices, veterinary facilities and more.
Recently, CoActiv was the first PACS vendor to announce integration with the Apple iPhone and iPad for both its radiology and orthopedic applications. Additionally, it recently debuted a new feature that enables users to connect with the Exam-PACS while flying using an iPhone across the airline’s WiFi connection, claimed the company.
