Carestream plans to showcase a raft of innovation designed to help radiology professionals improve patient care, workflow and costs at The European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna, Austria.

Enhanced digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) module on its Vue Mammo Workstation, scheduled to include the display of DICOM-compliant 2D synthetic views, which are calculated from the 3D dataset.

The company is also upgrading its cloud-based services family with the addition of the Vue Motion physician portal and MyVue Patient Portal as cloud services. The latest version of image acquisition software for its CR and DR systems with a bone suppression feature will also be at display.

A new managed print services program, a new IHE Dose Reporting capability that will collect and distribute dose information from all CARESTREAM DR and CR systems to a healthcare provider’s PACS and an innovative reporting feature to its Vue RIS and PACS platform will be on the show.

Carestream Europe general manager Ludovic d’Aprea said the company has the radiology and healthcare IT expertise to help medical professionals improve patient care while growing physician satisfaction.

"We have global sales and service, strong product platforms, solid market positions and are a trusted brand. During ECR 2014 we look forward to demonstrating how we can help healthcare providers control costs while maximising their radiology and IT investments," d’Aprea added.
