Atrium, Kaneka rolls out Xpress-Way RX Extraction Catheter in US

Atrium Medical and Kaneka have introduced the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Xpress-Way RX Extraction Catheter, for the removal of fresh, soft emboli and thrombi from vessels in the coronary and peripheral vasculature.

The Xpress-Way RX Extraction Catheter is an ultra low profile manual aspiration system designed for the removal of fresh, soft emboli, and thrombi in both coronary and peripheral vessels.

Xpress-Way RX incorporates an removable stylet and has been designed with enhanced pushability, anti-kinking, trackability, and crossability which allows for deliverability and performance.

The Xpress-Way RX manual extraction catheter, manufactured by Kaneka (Osaka, Japan) is distributed by Atrium Medical (Hudson, NH) in the US.

Outside the US, the Xpress-Way RX is marketed as Thrombuster II.
