Wells Fargo Insurance appoints national healthcare industry practice leader

Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, a part of Wells Fargo & Company, has appointed Theresa Edwards as national healthcare industry practice leader.

In her role, she will lead business development for the healthcare segment, specifically focusing on property and casualty and employee benefits.

Based in North Carolina, Edwards will continue to report to Keith Burkhardt, executive vice president and regional managing director, Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

Before joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Edwards served as the director of the healthcare practice for USI Insurance. She also was the healthcare practice leader for Alexander & Alexander/ Aon Risk Services.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services’ National Healthcare Group provides coverages, financial products, and services to medical professional companies.

The group works with customers to identify risks and designs cost-effective solution to reduce liability and maximize a company’s protection.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services president and CEO Neal Aton said Terri will continue to cultivate the cross-sell strategy, helping insurance brokers partner with the right banker to ensure the firm provide customers with specific and relevant healthcare services.
