Wells Fargo Insurance acquires ISU Stetson-Beemer Insurance

Wells Fargo Insurance Services, a part of Wells Fargo & Company has acquired ISU Stetson-Beemer Insurance, a commercial property and casualty and employees benefits insurance brokerage and consulting firm based in Nevada.

Stetson-Beemer provides business and personal insurance programs and services, including property and casualty risk management, employee benefits, workers’ compensation, and personal auto, home, and life insurance.

For more than 80 years, the company has built a diverse client base including, local, regional, and national businesses from a variety of industries, Fortune 500 companies, and public entities throughout the US.

Wells Fargo said Richard Schield, president of Stetson-Beemer, and his team of approximately 24 employees will join Wells Fargo Insurance Services’s Reno office.

Schield said by joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Stetson-Beemer have expanded the capabilities to better serve the clients and help them protect their businesses and employees in a changing environment.

The acquisition closed on 1 September 2011 and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
