Smart process applications provider Kofax has said that a major life insurance carrier based in the US has expanded the usage of its systems to improve the pace of claims processing.
The carrier has invested an additional $550,000 to automate the capture of documents including application forms, supporting information, W-2s, legal certificates, and human resources and accounting forms.
Kofax claimed its software helped the carrier to automatically extract the captured content for use in downstream processes, and improve data integrity and reduce costs and latency.
The carrier managed to automate its functions while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Kofax executive vice president of field operations Howard Dratler said: "By using Kofax to dramatically transform and simplify the business critical First Mile of real time, information intensive customer interactions, this solution enables a significant increase in responsiveness to customers and the ability to gain a unique competitive advantage."
