TransGlobe Life Insurance has selected eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite to enhance its core policy management business and improve the quality of services offered to policyholders.
TGL plans to deploy the eBaoTech LifeSystem Suite to replace its existing policy administration system to improve its operational efficiency.
TGL chairman James Liu, general manager Zhang Yonggu, director Lin Wenhui as well as eBaoTech chairman and president Woody Mo and senior executives of IBM, system integrator of the project, attended the "TGL System Transformation Project Kickoff Meeting" held in Taipei in mid-May to commence the project.
With the system transformation project, TGL will integrate and optimize its business processes, respond to the changing business needs through the provision of the highly stable core system, provide comprehensive sales support and services for policyholders, and offer customer-centric services.
The TGL System Transformation Project, expected to be operational in 2017, will use eBaoTech(R) LifeSystem Suite and a couple service and administrative support systems. In addition, the project will also improve TGL’s overall operational performance, including upgrading the standardized business processes, accelerating the time to market, integrating its sales channels, providing a full range of sales support and services for policyholders as well as enhancing operational efficiency and reducing long-term operating costs.
In terms of policyholder services, the project will help TGL significantly accelerate the underwriting and claims processes and provide TGL with a 360-degree view of its policyholder base, allowing for a deeper understanding of its policyholders and their demands in a move to provide them with better services.
TGL chairman James Liu said, "This system transformation will benefit the company in four perspectives: improved operational efficiency, reduced operating costs, updated service quality and future competitiveness. During the 36-month long project, the company plans to pay special attention to asset security, transferring policyholder data into the new system seamlessly and confidentially while taking all necessary precautions when managing policyholder assets."
TransGlobe general manager Zhang Yonggu said, "TransGlobe attaches utmost importance to this system transformation project. The kick-off meeting represents a new beginning. TransGlobe will invest all its efforts in meeting the formal "production roll-out" target three years hence, and in establishing a standardized business process which can significantly strengthen management efficiency."
eBaoTech chairman and president Woody Mo added, "It’s a great honor that the eBaoTech(R) LifeSystem Suite is selected by TGL for its business transformation and we fully expect to be able to help TGL gain a competitive advantage in Taiwan’s evolving insurance industry. We look forward to closely collaborating with TGL and IBM to ensure the smooth progress of the project and a timely launch of the project with no sacrifice in quality."
