Mitchell International, a provider of information, workflow and performance management solutions to the property & casualty claims, and Collision Repair industries have entered into partnership with CoreLogic, an analytics and business services provider.
The partnership further streamlines the total loss claims process for carriers who can now receive a Vehicle License Fee (VLF) report when a total loss valuation — either for standard auto, motorcycle, recreational or other types of vehicles — is generated through Mitchell’s insurance claims processing software WorkCenter.
Mitchell said the VLF report provides information about the vehicle registration, how much of a refund exists, and the amount to be disbursed to the claimant.
The VLF can be generated with a total loss valuation in California where there is a refund available for the unused portion of a year’s license fee.
Mitchell’s senior vice president of product and customer experience Jesse Herrera said through this integration, the firm further simplified total loss claims handling by automating the VLF refund process.
"This benefits our WorkCenter users by eliminating manual data process steps while ensuring accurate claims settlements," Herrera said.
