MetLife India Insurance has forayed into the health insurance sector with the launch of a scheme ‘Met Health Care’ – reported The Hindu.

According to the company, the product intends to provide its customers a cash benefit in the case of hospitalisation on everyday basis and a lump sum amount in the case of critical illness or accidental total and permanent disability. Moreover, customers are not required to undergo any medical tests to avail the benefits of this plan.

The product has been launched with training to financial advisors across the country to provide need-based solutions to customers, quoted the newspaper.

Rajesh Relan, managing director of MetLife, India, said: “Launching Met Health Care, our first health insurance product, is a natural progression in our journey to offer the consumer a complete range of protection plans to suit their various needs.
