Marsh & McLennan Agency acquires Kinker-Eveleigh

Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA), a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh, has acquired Kinker-Eveleigh Insurance Agency, a $3.5m revenue agency located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1919, Kinker-Eveleigh offers a broad range of property/casualty services to businesses and individuals throughout Ohio and the US.

Kinker-Eveleigh will operate out of MMA’s Midwest region, which was established in 2012 with the acquisition of Brower Insurance.

Kinker-Eveleigh’s leadership, including President Sam Tuten and the rest of the firm’s employees, will join MMA and continue operating out of the firm’s existing office in Cincinnati, expanding upon its current presence in the city and in Southwest Ohio.

"I’m thrilled that Kinker-Eveleigh will become part of MMA’s Midwest region," said Jeff Lightner, MMA’s Midwest president. "With the addition of such high-quality talent, we enhance our ability to offer a full spectrum of property/casualty and employee benefit capabilities to our clients in the Midwest."

"Our clients today are seeking advice and innovative solutions from insurance advisors to help them manage all of the increasingly complex and ever-changing risks they face," Mr. Tuten said. "Joining MMA not only provides us the resources to address these needs and concerns; it also presents opportunities for the growth and professional development of our insurance team, all while maintaining Kinker-Eveleigh’s local presence. We are excited about the resources and capabilities that MMA and the Midwest hub bring to us and our clients."

David Eslick, chairman and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Agency, said: "We welcome Sam Tuten and the rest of the Kinker-Eveleigh team to MMA and look forward to their continued success in serving the Ohio marketplace."
