The Main Street America Group, a Florida-based property/casualty insurance company, has appointed Steve Peeters as chief operating officer and executive vice president of insurance operations, Bruce Fox as vice president of legal services and Dan Gaynor as vice president of commercial lines.
As COO, Peeters will oversee the super regional property/casualty insurance carrier’s commercial lines, personal lines, bonds and assumed reinsurance product lines, as well as its pricing, information technology, claims and customer service functions.
Based in Florida Peeters will report to Main Street America chairman, president and CEO Tom Van Berkel. Previously, he was president and COO of Florida-based Zurich Insurance and also held executive roles at Zurich North America and Hartford Financial Services.
In his new role, Fox will lead Main Street America’s corporate law function and provide legal advice and counsel to all company personnel on matters affecting interests of The Main Street America Group, its five subsidiary companies and one affiliate.
Fox is also responsible for ensuring that the organization’s business practices, policies and all other dealings meet state and federal regulatory requirements. Based in Jacksonville, he will report to Van Berkel.
In his new role, Gaynor will lead the firms commercial lines product group and also responsible for the company’s commercial lines product premium growth and profitability results.
Additionally, Gaynor is accountable for development, management and administration of all of company’s commercial lines products and oversees its commercial lines underwriting function. Gaynor will continue to report to Peeters and remain based in Jacksonville.
