LIC Vadodara To Turn Paperless, To Set Up Two New Offices

Two new offices will be established at Makarpura and Gotri, in the coming two months

The Vadodara division of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will turn paperless by next year. The division will also commence two new offices in the city in the coming two months – reported Times of India.

S B Joshi, senior divisional manager of the Vadodara LIC division, has stated that LIC is switching over to EDMS project nationally.

Mr. Joshi said: This project will make our division paperless as all papers will be scanned, dockets containing details of customers will be created and customers will be able to avail facilities from any branch in the country.”

He further stated that it is setting up two new offices, one at Makarpura and another at Gotri, in the coming two months.

He added that the insurance corporation will be issuing ‘gold club’ cards to its select customers. This membership is for our high net worth customers who either pay more than Rs 5 lakh premium or have more than seven years of association with us. These customers will get benefits of easy premium payments among other privileges and LIC will be also issuing birthday intimations to them,” quoted the news paper.

While the division generated total premium worth INR3.68 billion and 226,000 policies as new business in 2008-09, by August-end, it reported INR843 million and 65,075 policies as new business.
