Kofax, a provider of document process automation solutions, said that it will provide the Atalasoft DotImage software development kit (SDK) to a major health insurance provider in the US for about $150,000.
According to Kofax, the Atalasoft DotImage SDK allows users to easily add imaging capabilities to their .NET applications, significantly reducing development effort and costs.
The health insurance providers, will implement the Atalasoft DotImage SDK to enable the processing of PDF and TIFF document images in its Medicare division.
Kofax executive vice president of field operations Alan Kerr said the Atalasoft DotImage SDK allows companies and government agencies to increase efficiency by reducing much of the effort and costs associated with image enabling an application.
"By unlocking the information contained in images, organizations enable accelerated capture driven processes across the enterprise to drive efficiency and reduce costs," Kerr said.
