Insurance broker Flood & Peterson has selected etherFAX, a provider of Fax over Internet Protocol (FoIP) services, to enhance fax communications.
etherFAX said that Flood & Peterson will utilize its RightFax platform to centralize all incoming and outgoing faxes between offices and customers. This includes maintaining an array of technologies and telephony infrastructure.
As part of an initiative, the insurer has also decided to virtualize its fax operations by leveraging the cloud, which will enable it to avoid the costly components like fax boards and eliminate recurring telephony expenses, yet preserve its current fax server investment.
Flood & Peterson’s system administrator Michelle Hoffert said with etherFAX, all of the fax communications are delivered via the cloud, where no telecom carrier, fax boards, etc. are required.
"So as long as we have Internet connectivity, our RightFax-powered system will be fully operational, and if there is an issue related to fax transmissions," Hoffert added.
Flood & Peterson was introduced to etherFAX FoIP through TransOptions Messaging (TMI), a reseller based in Denver, that offers a unique solution that extends existing fax server technology to the cloud.
With the help of TMI, Flood & Peterson installed etherFAX with RightFax and was able to successfully send and receive faxes immediately.
