Electric Insurance launches Always On mobile application for self-service actions

Electric Insurance, a provider of personal and commercial lines insurance products, has launched new Always On mobile application that allow its policyholders to perform a variety of self-service actions using an iPhone or iPad.

The new Always On Mobile Application offers easy-to-use capabilities that include a simple way to submit an auto claim, check coverage status, exchange insurance information, call for roadside assistance services, schedule auto glass repair, and more.

The application includes a unique and forward-looking feature — an electric vehicle charging station locator, General Electric WattStation that will be available to the company’s policyholders and the general public.

Electric Insurance vice president of sales and marketing Michael Mucher said General Electric alone will have a substantial fleet in the next few years.

"As a GE affiliate company and provider of its fleet insurance, it’s a given that we should provide an easy way to find a charging station," added Mucher.
