Canal Insurance Company, a commercial trucking insurer, has implemented Guidewire BillingCenter to manage its billing operations including agency bill, to boost service levels for agents and customers.
Amid growing business requirements and changing customers’ preferences, Canal decided to update its billing platform. Canal Insurance has already been using Guidewire ClaimCenter since 2004.
Canal Insurance chief information officer Adrian Brown said, "The functional completeness of BillingCenter, along with our familiarity with its technology platform, contributed to the ease with which we implemented BillingCenter."
The insurer has deployed BillingCenter across all of its lines of business and its agent distribution channel and is currently live nationwide.
BillingCenter will allow Canal to offer a more seamless billing process approach integrated with internal and third party systems; standardize billing practices on a single company-wide system reducing operating costs; and use quality and accurate system data to make informed business decisions.
Canal Insurance billing systems supervisor Crystal Pruitt commented, "We are not only impressed with the robust functionality and precision that BillingCenter has brought to our billing transactions, it has given us a platform for our future growth."
Available as a standalone system or as part of Guidewire InsuranceSuitem, BillingCenter can be integrated to a Property/Casualty insurer’s legacy systems or third party applications.
