Brown & Brown appoints four new regional vice presidents

Brown & Brown, a diversified insurance firm, has appointed Eric Anderson, Anthony Grippa, Thomas Keith Huval, and Richard Knudson as new regional vice presidents, with the responsibilities of overseeing additional operations in its retail division.

Anderson currently serves as executive vice president of Brown & Brown of Washington and is responsible for three Profit Centers in the Seattle area. He will continue to report to Scott Penny, regional president and chief acquisitions officer.

Anderson joined the company in 2003 when his family-owned independent full-service insurance agency in Kentucky was acquired by a subsidiary of the company.

Grippa is the Profit Center leader of the Daytona Beach, Florida office of Brown & Brown of Florida and has oversight responsibilities for operations in Brevard County, Jacksonville and Tallahassee, Florida. He will continue to report to Charles Lydecker, regional president.

Grippa joined Brown & Brown in 2005 as leader of the operations of public risk insurance agency (PRIA) in Lake Mary and Tallahassee, Florida.

Huval serves as executive vice president of Brown & Brown of Louisiana, where his responsibilities include significant involvement with mergers and acquisitions, as well as the oversight of certain retail operations in Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. He will continue to report to Roy Bridges, regional president.

Prior to Brown & Brown in 2001, Huval Insurance Agency, of which Huval had been a principal since its establishment in 1978.

Knudson is the Profit Center leader and president of Brown & Brown of Lehigh Valley, and has oversight responsibility for certain retail operations located in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Rich will continue to report to Linda S. Downs, Regional President.

Rich joined Brown & Brown in 1998 as a producer in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida office, and was promoted in 2001 to the position of profit center leader of the Clark, New Jersey office of Brown & Brown of New Jersey.
