Bendigo Bank is to utilize its network of over 340 branches throughout Australia in order to sell health insurance in collaboration with healthcare and financial services group Australian Unity.
Health insurance is the latest addition to a range of banking and general insurance products available from Bendigo. The health cover will be sold under the Bendigo name and via its outlets, while the scheme will be administered by Australian Unity.
It is a pleasure to join with Australian Unity to offer people in our communities the choice of arranging all their insurance through a locally based name they trust, said Bendigo Bank’s chief general manager of solutions, Marnie Baker.
Meanwhile, Australian Unity group executive of healthcare Amanda Hagan said the partnership was part of her company’s corporate health distribution strategy.
Australian Unity’s quality product offering, coupled with our experienced back-end administration function, allows organizations like Bendigo Bank to be confident in our ability to support a valuable service to their customers, Ms Hagan said.
