AXA Equitable appoints SVP of internet strategy and development

AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company has elected Connie O'Brien as its new senior vice president of internet strategy and development.

Ms O’Brien is responsible for overall corporate web strategy. She reports to Barbara Goodstein, chief innovation officer and chief marketing officer of AXA Equitable.

Ms O’Brien joined AXA Equitable in April 2007 as the vice president and head of the company’s newly-created internet strategy and development business team charged with creating consistent and integrated brand, interface and platform architecture standards for all AXA-based internet sites in the US.

Ms O’Brien joined AXA Equitable from John Hancock Financial Services, where she led a team to develop one common look for all marketing materials and company websites, following the merger with Manulife Financial Corporation. She has earned a BA in English literature from the University of Michigan.

Ms Goodstein said: Connie has demonstrated remarkable success in driving AXA Equitable’s customer-centric internet strategy. As Connie continues to execute on our multi-tiered corporate web strategy, we look forward to announcing further innovations.
