Aviva has hired Martin Banks to the new role of global relationships director effective immediately.
In this newly created role, Banks will be responsible for strengthening relationships with key strategic partners who both distribute products manufactured by Aviva and provide services to the group and its businesses by working closely with colleagues across the Aviva Group.
Based in London Banks will report directly to Ant Middle, UK strategic partnerships director.
Banks was previously commercial development director in the European business of Aviva. Prior to that, he spent more than three years in Aviva North America as senior vice president strategy & corporate development.
Middle said this is a new role, created to gain a deeper and broader understanding of our strategic partners’ operations and enabling us to identify and maximise global opportunities.
