ACE adds environmental liability cover to its corporate multinational product

Multiline property and casualty insurer has strengthened its corporate multinational product, ACE Evolve, by adding environmental liability insurance cover, in an effort to provide broad insurance programme solutions for large to medium sized businesses as it continues to expand its proposition for UK businesses with international operations.

The enhancement is based on feedback provided by broker and client, while it reflects growing environmental regulation and social responsibility pressure on companies.

ACE UK&Ireland Environmental Liability & London Casualty manager Tom Hillier said, "With growing scrutiny and regulation on environmental issues across almost every territory, plus the increasing number of environmental incidents that affect mainstream organisations, brokers are under increasing pressure to offer clients global environmental cover."

The new coverage will allow clients to benefit from a broad environmental coverage to respond to global exposures, an enhanced cover built into the ACE Evolve wording, which is more cost effective and easier to administer than a standalone environmental programme and access to ACE’s global expertise in managing environmental risk.

ACE Evolve Product manager Louise Joyce added, "The addition of environmental liability cover to the ACE Evolve package product will enable brokers to benefit from ACE’s leading expertise in the area by offering their clients a practical solution for this important emerging risk."

ACE operates in 53 countries providing its diverse group of clients with commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance services.

ACE UK & Ireland has operations in five regions including Dublin and Belfast, Ireland; Glasgow, Scotland; Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, The North; Birmingham, Midlands; London, Maidstone, Reading, Watford, South East.
