Since 1893, GEA has been building centrifuges which combine high efficiency and throughput capacities with maximum savings in terms of energy, water and disposal costs.

Centrifuges separate liquid mixtures into e.g. oil and water with simultaneous removal of solids. Those phases can be separated from each other due to their density difference. It’s the high centrifugal force which makes for high separation efficiency. The first centrifuge was applied for the purification and dewatering of mineral oil back in 1907. With our commitment, innovative ability and quality work, we have expanded the application possibilities of this key technology throughout this period. As the market and technology leader, we ensure that our customers make progress with powerful centrifuges, process lines and state-of-the-art processes. Today, ten thousands of centrifuges take care of the reliable and economical treatment of fuel and lube oils as well as oily and watery sludges.

Centrifugal separation technology for demanding applications

Our product range comprises centrifugal separators, decanters and the associated system technology. Our centrifuges clean all kinds of liquids — from crude oil to meet refineries’ specifications; to drain, bilge and produced water to help protect the maritime ecosystem. With the further development of tried and tested solutions as well as the new development of innovative technology, solutions are found for the centrifugal duties in the marine, oilfield and power sectors.

GEA supplies plug and play processing systems which comply with even the most stringent customer and environmental requirements and feature the latest weight and space saving designs. The centrifuges are specifically designed to cope with the needs and circumstances on site, with permanent reduction of costs.
