The purpose of the SPP is to control a surface or subsurface safety valve. A key feature of the SPP is that it is equipped with an emergency shutdown.
Whenever the pilot pressure is reaching a too low level, the emergency shutdown (ESD) mode, controlled by a remote pilot valve, will be activated. It will also be activated in case of an air (gas) supply failure.
Manually taking over its main features is another great advantage of the SPP, equipped with a specially designed hydraulic three-way valve and an air driven pump. You can completely operate the safety valve manually, should you not be able to operate properly due to an air supply fail, by manually overriding the hydraulic three-way valve and use the manual device of the air driven pump.
Safety and durability, the design of the well control system is aimed at these aspects to give the operator a reliable system to work with. Elements made of stainless steel such as the panel, protective cover, reservoir, tubing and fittings are part of the SPP. All high pressure fittings and tubing are provided with autoclave type connections to provide more safety. To adapt to your specific requirements the SPP offers several options. You can choose for a SPP two-line system, high-low pilot valves or a quick exhaust.
