After scanning, or using any existing image files, we put the files through our OCR conversion system. Operating on high powered, multi-core, computer system capable of processing several documents simultaneously, our OCR conversion systems can convert a large number of documents per 24 hours, largely dependent on quality and size of the original files. Operating continuously, they can keep pace with the output of the scanners over the course of a project.
It is also possible during this process to convert some of your documents from PDF format to native formats such as Word or Excel, greatly enhancing the value of the documents and making the process of future updating and management simpler.
Additionally, using ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) technology the systems can convert handwriting to full text. Or, as often is the case, the need to capture hand written annotation made on documents in the past.
Any documents that were not native format have either been converted to native format where possible or are now high quality PDF documents with full text search capabilities.
