Westcore Funds has launched Small-Cap Growth Fund on 20 December 2013 to help investors identify and invest in small companies with significant growth potential.
According to Westcore, the fund will invest generally in companies that will be similar in size to those included in its benchmark index, the Russell 2000 Growth Index.
The company said that small companies have the potential to grow more quickly than larger companies. This creates opportunities for the fund to find and invest in such firms, to secure optimum return.
Westcore Small-Cap Growth Fund lead portfolio manager and Denver Investments small- & mid-cap growth research director Mitch Begun said they believe inefficiencies exist within the small-cap market that can be exploited through rigorous fundamental research.
"Our passion is identifying the next great growth companies and we are excited to offer this Fund to capitalize on our disciplined approach to the small-cap growth universe," Begun added.
Managed by Denver Investments, Westcore Small-Cap Growth Fund will carry a low investment, as well as a competitive net expense ratio of 1.30%, claims the company.
