Wachovia, a financial and bank holding company, has named Jim Kimball as the new regional president for Nothern California in its western banking group. He will report to Pete Jones, CEO of the western banking group.
Mr Kimball will be based in Wachovia’s Oakland office until June 2008, when he will be headquartered in San Francisco. He will be responsible for the region’s wholesale sales and service performance, and will collaborate with leaders across all lines of business to provide consistent delivery of Wachovia’s brand.
In addition, Mr Kimball will provide leadership to Wachovia’s business and commercial banking teams, drive business development, help attract new talent, and provide strategic direction for the region’s banking performance.
Mr Kimball joins Wachovia from Bank of America, where he served as the market executive for Greater Bay area commercial banking. He received a bachelor’s in finance and a master’s in business administration from California State University, Sacramento.
