Three credit unions in US to implement mobile banking services

Three credit unions in US - Municipal Employees Credit Union of Oklahoma City; Central Communications Credit Union of Independence, Missouri; and Texell Credit Union of Temple, Texas - will deploy mobile banking services.

Minnesota-based core data system vendor Sharetec Systems said Municipal Employees CU of Oklahoma City and Central Communications CU will use mobile banking solution from Sharetec partner Data Systems in Waco, Texas, in Q1 of 2013, reports Cutimes.

The deployment will enable the unions to offer remote deposit capture services.

Texell CU has added a free mobile banking application, which allows customers to check their account balances, view their transaction histories, make transfers and loan payments, deposit checks, and locate branches and ATMs.

Texell CU president and CEO Tony Hale was quoted by Cutimes as saying, "Offering new technology that exceeds our member’s expectations is a top priority and we believe that our mobile banking app is a great addition to our financial services."
