International asset manager Threadneedle Investments has launched the UK Equities Fund in its Luxembourg SICAV range managed by its head of UK Equities, Simon Brazier.
The fund will be managed by Brazier with the same process and techniques employed over 26 years in the GBP1.1bn Threadneedle UK fund.
The fund is designed for international investors looking to access UK equities through an offshore Lux-domiciled vehicle and holds 50-90 stocks and will be broadly diversified by market size and sector.
Brazier said that they have spoken extensively to our clients and they have indicated a great appetite for a product that will capitalise on the UK investment market in this form and will enable a broader range of investors to access our expertise in UK equity investing.
"Valuations of UK equities are currently compelling and many companies are in good health with strong balance sheets," added Brazier.
