Atlanta based SunTrust Banks Inc has added NCR's APTRATM Passport, a remote deposit capture service, to enable customers deposit cheques from branches, ATMs, businesses, homes, and mobile phones.
The system has been developed on a scalable multichannel RDC platform, which facilitates financial organizations to easily and cost-effectively enhance their auditing and reporting deposit services, while combating fraud threat.
Contrary to traditional RDC solutions, which require deploying of individual silos, the new integrated multichannel architecture enable banks to launch new channels, according to their requirements.
NCR Financial Services senior vice president Michael O’Laughlin said, "The APTRA Passport solution helps financial institutions connect with their customers from anywhere, at anytime, using channels and technology that customers prefer."

SunTrust manages 1,659 bank branches and 2,899 ATMs across Southern states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC.
