Standard Chartered has introduced its mobile banking application, Breeze, in the UAE, making it the first market in the region to offer the product.
The lender also launched its fifth electronic banking unit (EBU), at new Dubai headquarters in Downtown Burj Khalifa, as part of its initiative in the digitalization of banking operations.
Part of its global focus on socializing personal banking and extending customers’ digital lifestyle into banking, the bank is considering launching various digital services and technologies in the market this year.
Designed to offer a superior, convenient, personalized banking experience, Breeze’s induction in the UAE comes after successful launches in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea and China.
Further, the bank is seriously mulling to roll out an upgraded version of its ‘Offers Locator’ application, which will enable users to search not only offers but also to receive and redeem mobile coupons.
Trading since 1958 in the UAE, Standard Chartered manages the largest distribution network among international banks with 11 branches, five electronic banking units and more than 130 ATMs and CDMs.
